“I can’t say enough about the TSV. Tennis Club. I was a member in Newport for many years and
then I decided to join the Charlestown Club and have never regretted it at all. The members are all very nice and it’s a very friendly club. I thought at first with just one court it would be a problem getting the court when I wanted it, but it has not been an issue.”

“My wife and I are retired and we joined the club two years ago. We are active tennis players and wanted to connect with other like-minded individuals. We have enjoyed the various leagues available and have made many new friends. We like the fact we can have access to a ball machine for practice, a pro for lessons when desired, and court time is readily available most of the time we are seeking.

The club is large enough to be able to most always get a game and yet small enough to know everybody and not have to wait to get playing time. The fact it is a single indoor court is a plus for us, as we do not have the distraction of others playing side by side. Balls do not have to be chased onto other courts and errant shots of others do not interrupt our play.

The observation deck above the court is very convenient for viewing matches, while not being a distraction to players below. It also serves as a meeting area for club business meetings and social events. The setting is out of the way in a quiet neighborhood that is easily accessible from main roads. Being members also allows us the opportunity to have an active voice in the affairs of the club. We are very pleased with the operation of the club and it is in the process of considering new LED lighting, which will greatly reduce our electricity costs.”

“Rickey was playing as a guest at TSV almost weekly for more than a year and wanted to start to play more often. I had not played much tennis in several years but wanted to start playing again when I got a new job close enough to home to make a late afternoon trip to Charlestown doable. We bought a membership when one became available and have become regular players in the appropriate leagues. We have also brought some of our grandkids to the court to use the ball machine with us when they have been visiting.”

“A great club for your kids to learn how to play tennis. You have a private court with a ball machine and hitting wall. My kids play all winter long.”
